The Iron Curtain is one of Proxy EDC’s most aggressive and dynamic designs, blending industrial styling with high-energy, multi-action fidget mechanics. Inspired by baton extension and karambit-style motion, it delivers a more kinetic, “active” experience compared to traditional sliders or spinners.

At its core, the Iron Curtain is built around interconnected movement. A forward swing triggers a tuning fork-like action, followed by a satisfying return and retraction. The motion feels mechanical and powerful, creating a strong sense of rhythm and feedback with each cycle.

What sets it apart is its multi-mode system. In its standard configuration, it offers quick eject and easy retraction for fast, responsive play. Adjusting the internal setup introduces a longer, continuous eject with louder, more pronounced feedback. A third mode allows for a fully opened, multi-stage push experience, shifting it into a more controlled, tactile interaction focused on slower, deliberate input.

Internally, the design combines springs and magnetic rings within a central column, acting like a shock absorber to shape the feel of each action. This system can be further customized, allowing users to swap components, such as replacing magnetic rings with brass weights to increase force and intensity.

A dual-bearing structure stabilizes rotation, while integrated magnetic braking helps control movement across all modes. Despite its raw, high-impact feel, the Iron Curtain remains surprisingly manageable and precise.

Bold, mechanical, and highly configurable, the Proxy EDC Iron Curtain is built for those who want a more physical, full-motion fidget experience with deep customization and powerful feedback. It can also be combined with the other pieces in the series, forming a larger, modular “ultimate” fidget gun.
