The Hai Ya Knife by YEDC is a collaborative design with So Young that blends premium materials, intricate artwork, and high-end folding knife engineering. The design pays homage to Christensen Knifeworks and was created with authorization from the original designer.

Manufactured and assembled by NOC Knives, the Hai Ya features a screwless exterior for a cleaner and more integrated appearance. An innovative locking structure was developed to reduce wear on special material blades, representing one of the first implementations of its kind. Despite its substantial construction, the knife maintains an elegant and refined profile.

Select versions use M390 blade steel hardened to approximately 59 to 60 HRC, while premium configurations are available in materials such as Mokume and Zircuti. Decorative engraving options created by So Young include "Fortune Cat," "Carnival," and "Poker," utilizing inlay and laser coloring techniques to add further artistic detail.

Combining collectible aesthetics with precision manufacturing and advanced materials, the Hai Ya Knife stands as one of YEDC's most ambitious collaborations.
