Novel Carry began in 2016 as an everyday carry blog founded by Derrick Beil, built around a genuine interest in well-designed tools and pocket gear. The brand evolved from content into product development, launching its first major product, the SlideKick multi-tool, through Kickstarter in 2021.

Today, Novel Carry operates as a two-person shop based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Steve leads design, machining, assembly, and finishing, while Derrick handles product development, marketing, community, and customer experience. Both bring professional product-development experience to the brand.

Novel Carry is best known for its modular magnetic fidget sliders, including the Tile, Delta, Echo, Ergo, and Mini families. The products emphasize tactile feel, clean industrial design, interchangeable components, configurable magnet systems, and long-term usability. Many pieces are machined, assembled, and finished in-house, while selected production components are manufactured externally and completed in Charlotte.

The brand maintains a small-shop approach with direct customer support, a 15-day return policy, lifetime warranty coverage on many products, and a strong focus on community feedback and continuous product refinement.
